Dr. James Pucci

For Dr. James Pucci, periodontal care is about more than treating gums—it’s about understanding how oral health fits into a patient’s overall health.

Dr. Pucci has dedicated his career to periodontics and implant dentistry. He graduated from Yale University before earning his dental degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He then completed advanced specialty training in periodontology and implantology at Boston University.

Dr. Pucci takes a thoughtful, conservative approach to treatment. He understands that periodontal health does not exist in isolation—it can be influenced by a patient’s overall health and, in turn, can have implications beyond the mouth. That perspective guides the way he evaluates patients and recommends care.

His expertise includes the treatment of periodontal disease, soft-tissue grafting, bone grafting and regeneration, and dental implant surgery. Just as important, he is known for a gentle touch and a calm, caring manner—particularly valuable for patients who may feel apprehensive about periodontal or surgical treatment.

Dr. Scott and Dr. Pucci have worked together caring for patients for nearly 20 years. That long-standing relationship is an important part of how we provide specialty care at Mogelof Dental. Rather than treating periodontal and restorative needs separately, our doctors communicate, plan together, and look at the bigger picture of each patient’s health.

For Dr. Pucci, the goal isn’t simply to perform a procedure. It’s to recommend the right care, at the right time, as part of a thoughtful plan for long-term health.

We listen. You smile.
