Endodontics
A common misconception is that root canal treatment (endodontics) is a painful procedure. Actually, in most instances, root canals are similar to having a cavity filled, producing minimal discomfort.
Common causes of endodontic treatment are:
- Inflamed/infected tooth pulp
- Severe sensitivity to hot and cold elements
- Tooth decay: new, decay under a failing filling, decay under a crown
- Chipped or broken tooth
- Trauma to the tooth
- Swelling or tenderness near the affected tooth
- Repeated dental procedures on a tooth that has had large, deep filings over time
Please contact our office for an evaluation if you experience any of the symptoms above, and we will evaluate you for endodontic treatment
